Parkland is a beautiful city in Broward County, Florida.  Parkland is a diverse community that provides a variety of services for its residents.  As of 2018, the population was approximately 25,000 and long-term projections anticipate the eventual population of approximately 35,000.

Homes in Parkland, Florida have access to 8.5 miles of multipurpose trails, bike paths, and sidewalks.  Parkland boasts many incredible outdoor recreation areas, including a 50 acre park with sports field lighting and other amenities, and a 7.5 acre equestrian center.  Also in the area is The Doris Davis Forman Wilderness Preserve, and the 7 acre Liberty Park which contains numerous play areas representing American patriotic themes.  Pine Trails Park  is the most popular park in the area, and features a community center, an amphitheater, three pavilions, restrooms, four tee-ball fields, a fishing pier, and boardwalk.  Parkland real estate allows access to sports, concerts, classes, education, and events hosted by the city, which are well attended and fun for residents of any age.

Parkland is close to the Sawgrass Expressway and the Florida Turnpike, and a short drive to I-95, making the city very accessible to destinations around Broward and Palm Beach Counties.  It is only about 30 minutes to the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, making it easy to jet off for a vacation or visit family.

Parkland is made up of gated communities of various sizes and price ranges, as well as neighborhoods with sprawling ranches and big backyards.

Parkland has an equestrian park and horse trails, and although it is close to major highways, it is not uncommon to see people on horseback, strolling along busy Holmberg Road.

The landscape tends to more natural Florida landscape including numerous tall pine trees and cypress.  In many areas, lot sizes tend to be large by Florida standards ranging from 3 acres and up in the Parkland Ranches area, to approximately 1 acre in the Pine Tree Estates area.  There are also conventional size lots in the newer planned, gated developments.
