Pineapple Grove District

Pineapple Grove in Delray Beach

Pineapple Grove Arts District is a charming enclave located just off of Atlantic Avenue on NE 2nd Avenue. Dotted with murals and sculptures, Pineapple Grove is home to galleries, shops, restaurants, and Artists Alley. You’ll also find the Arts Garage, Chamber of Commerce, and the Hyatt Place Hotel in the Grove. The exciting public artwork and Artists Alley with working artist studios beckon, as well as cutting edge entertainment at Arts Garage.

On a map, you’ll find it just north of bustling Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray Beach.

But you could also say Pineapple Grove is at the crossroads of chic and chi, or where cutthroat yields to the cooperative.

The Vibe

It is also less hectic than some higher-profile shopping destinations in South Florida. It has a little bit of a calmer vibe. It’s hip, unique, and fun, but people could come and stay awhile.

Missed Event

Pineapple Grove Art district members organize Art and Music Fest along the downtown Delray Beach. It usually takes place in April but since we just experienced global lockdown, this event didn’t happen.

Pineapple Grove Art & Music Fest is a family-friendly, closed-street event celebrating the art and culture of this historic neighborhood.  Experience over 50 merchant and restaurant open house events, art exhibits, live demonstrations, music, games, and more. Festival goers usually participate in the merchant “Mystery Tour” with chances to win prizes at different locations throughout the event, take a photo on “Abbey Road,” check out the VDubs of Palm Beach VW Beetle display, and take part in the costume contests: Beatles look-alike, 70s Attire, Pineapple Attire, and Pet costumes.

Sharing With the Community

Aside from the Art & Music Fest, Pineapple Grove Merchants have also created a unique experience to showcase the new energy and vibe that is within the district.  The galleries profile fine art, provide opportunities to meet the artists and donate a portion of their proceeds from the sales of the evening to a special organization. The Pineapple Grove Merchants began meeting in February 2013 as a group to find ways to bring customers to the area. There are many new galleries, restaurants, very unique shops, salons, wellness centers, local pubs and not to mention a very charming atmosphere. The business owners within Pineapple Grove love the location and really want to share it with the community.

The event usually begins at 5 PM. Attendees have a passport ticket that provides entrance to a very special evening that benefits a special cause. They follow their Passport to each stop among the participating galleries. The passport provides them with a map of the area. The participating galleries as well as the art piece that’s a part of the Heart of the Grove sale. A portion of each sale goes towards the charity selected. For each stamp, the passport holder makes them eligible to win incredible prizes at the VIP Art Sale Party. All funds raised at Heart of the Grove will fund outreach, education, and awareness efforts throughout South Florida.
